A Night in Wailua
On the island of Kauai just a short drive up the road from Lihue, you'll find Wailua Falls. The picturesque, 173 foot waterfall is a favorite location for photographers. I've been to Wailua Falls a few times before and I wanted to take a unique picture of the falls that no one else had done. On this clear night with a full moon shining down, all of the elements lined up to do a long exposure shot. I waited till the moon was overhead, clearing the valley walls and illuminating the falling water. A 30 minute long exposure captures the trails of the stars moving through the sky.
